The trek start from a remote village called Sankri in Uttarakhand which I also a Base camp of the other treks as well like Bali pass, Ruinsara taal, Borasu pass, Bali pass, Har Ki Dun, Bharadsar lake . The most interesting part of Kedarkantha Trek is 360 Degree View of mighty Himalayan peaks from the summit, Beautiful Camp Sites covered with snow and pine forest, and feel to stand on the top of easiest climbable peaks in Himalayas. The total trekking distance of Kedarkantha Trek is 23 kilometers. The height of the summit point id 12500 feet. Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri village .

We start our journey from Dehradun at 7AM to Sankri. Assemble at Dehradun railway or bus stand and drive to Sankri Village. Sankri is a small remote village in uttarakhand which situated at a distance of 200 km from Dehradun. After 8 -10 hours long drive we stay overnight in guest house. For trekking Sankri is one of the popular trailhead in uttarakhand for many treks.(If we reach early we’ll go for short walk or bird watching).

Day 2: Sankri to Juda Ka Taal (9000 FT, 5 KM Trek 6 hour)

on Day 2, we begin our trek from Sankri village to Juda Ka Taal. Our Trek Leader will give brief about today’s trail and walking manners during the trek and provide Gaiters or Spikes (use to walk in snow) so you walk easily in snow. The trail starts in mesmerize pine forest of Sankri village. Initially trail is gradually ascended, ascending all the way to Juda Ka Taal Campsite. You will walk on a steady pace in a zigzag manner, once you get your pace of speed you feel trail easy to walk. While walking in forest try to keep your eye on trees as well if you want to see wildlife. Woodpecker is quite common in this forest region which you can see. After some time in a Middle of the Trek forest trail is going to become in large meadows covered with snow. Here you can have your Pack Lunch or you will get some small tea shops as well. Juda Ka Taal Campsite is an hour away from here and as you gain altitude you’ll start seeing open beautiful Himalayan Ranges of Uttarakhand in background. We will reach our first campsite at 1 – 2 pm. Stay overnight in camp at Juda Ka Taal.

Day 3: Judo Ka Taal to Kedarkantha Base Camp (11,200 FT 4 KM Trek 3 – 4 hour)

We start our Day 3 with wakeup call at and Tea at 6:30 AM and some morning exercise and stretching to make our body relax. After Breakfast we start our trek from Judo Ka Taal to Kedarkantha Base Camp. The gradient of trail is bit steep today. Again we start trekking through pine and oak tree forest which is becoming an open meadow in an hour. In between trek leader will teach you about walking ascending or descending on the slope in snow or use of gaiters or spikes. It will take 3 - 4 hour to reach base camp of Kedarkantha Trek Campsite which has stunning views. If weathers is going to be clear in night you will see the Brightly shinning Kedarkantha Peak and Other Peaks or Mountains as the moon. We’ll do Early Dinner today because to Summit Kedarkantha Peak Tomorrow. As we have to wake up at 2 AM for Summit Peak tomorrow. Before you prepare yourself for tomorrow, pack your day pack keep necessary items in your day pack like water bottle, woolen cap, Head lamp or hand torch, waterproof gloves, snacks and your camera. you can left your Backpack in tents at camp and collect them when we come back.

Day 4: Kedarkantha Base Camp to Kedarkantha Peak (12500FT) to Hargaon (8450 FT, 6 KM Trek)

The Big Day is come Summit Day. After having early Breakfast at 2:30 AM BY 3:00 AM we’re heading towards summit so keep your head torches ready. Today we walk as team in a zigzag manner on the slope and snow till the summit PEAK. Kedarkantha Altitude is 12500ft. From base camp it takes around 3 hours to reach summit. As the Sun rises, you will witness the dramatic changes of colors in the sky and the transformation leaves you speechless and awful which won’t stop you to taking marvelous picture. You try to reach summit before sunrise and appreciate the 360 view of snow clad Majestic Himalayan Range of uttarakhand surrounding
you. The most leading peaks visible from the top is Bandarpoonch, Peak, Black Peak, and Swargarohini peaks. You will also see Gangotri, Yamunotri, Har Ki Dun, and Rupin mountain range from top.
It’s quite windy on the top, so to keep your body warm need to keep moving. Climb up the mountains is easier then climb down, so the descent from top is initially steep as a ascent so be careful for for first half n hour. The view of the Himalayas is continuing to Shine and Glow in the background on our way back to camp it make best time to take some memorable pictures. Trek Leader will give you chance to slide on the slope on snow if its possible. You can stop at tea hut shop on way back to camp to get some refreshment. Will have hot lunch after we reach camp. After lunch we head towards Hargaon camp site which takes 2 hour to reach camp. Camp overnight at Hargaon Camp Site.

Day 5: Hargaon to Sankri to Dehradun 6 KM trek, 200 km drive

This is the last day of Kedarkantha trek, and the shortest trek of Kedarkantha trek. Wake up early in the morning to view marvelous sunrise, having breakfast and head towards Sankri village from our last beautiful campsite. We’ll walk through pine and oak forest throughout the way back to Sankri. It takes around 2 to 3 hour to reach Sankri. After reach we will take short break and drive to Dehradun.


1 - The package includes all meals start from day 1 Lunch end on day 4 lunch (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and snacks throughout the trek. Meals would be wholesome, delicious and abundant.
2 - Accommodation in tents on twin or triple-sharing basis.
3 - Entry fees, permit to trek and forest camping charges in the region for the entire
duration of the trek, wherever applicable.
4 - Needless to say, we’ll provide you with sleeping bags, mattresses, tents and
other safety equipment required.
5 - We’ll have an English-speaking guides and a team of porters / mules to carry
common group equipment.
6 - A trained cook along with helper/ requisite staff.
7 - First aid kit.
8 - Transport from manali to manali
